A Letter from Pastor Paul
As many of you know, there is a battle looming over Proposition 1.
This is a battle we cannot ignore.
Please consider the following:
• Proposition 1 will be on the November ballot. It is designed to re-introduce legalized abortion in Idaho.
• Proposition 1 is labeled “Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Act” — a frontal deception.
• Proposition 1 allows late term abortion via undefined subjective “good faith” determination of a licensed “health care provider” — without accountability.
• Proposition 1 makes room for “any person” (including a minor) to obtain “fertility treatment,” “contraceptive,” and/or an abortion without parental knowledge or consent.
• Proposition 1 precludes “any person” (parent or otherwise) and/or “the state” the right to “interfere with,” “deprive,” or “prohibit” an abortion — except by an undefined “narrowly tailored” state action.
• Proposition 1 removes all “professional discipline, civil liability, or criminal liability” for the termination of a preborn person’s life.
However,
God said, “Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man.” — Genesis 9:6
Moreover,
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” — The United States Declaration of Independence
We must defend the “Life” of those who cannot defend themselves.
Therefore,
• We must vote No on Proposition 1.
• We must inform other voters.
• We cannot commit the sin of omission by ignoring our mandate to defend the lives of the preborn.
