Jesus loves your children, and so do we! That is why we are committed to partnering with parents to teach their children about the God of the Bible, how deeply He loves them and the call that Jesus has put on their lives.
At Candlelight you will find a Christ-centered, Bible-based, safe, and fun ministry. Security is in place for all children during Wednesday and Sunday School to ensure that each child is safe and secure from all outside distractions.
We are excited that we can serve you and your family. We look forward to meeting you and appreciate the honor to come alongside you in sharing God’s Word with your children.

When Is Childcare Available?
Sundays: 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM & 12 PM Services. Children's Ministry is not available during the 7:30 PM service
Wednesday Nights: Nursery & Children’s Ministry (6:40 PM)
Health & Wellness
If your child has had a fever within 24 hours, green nose mucus, a cold, or has just been “under the weather,” please allow him/her to stay home to recover.
Nursery
Ages: Birth – 23 months
What to Bring: 2 diapers, a change of clothes, bottle or cup and any items your child may need while you’re enjoying the service. Please label all items with child’s first and last name.
Sunday School
Ages: 2 Years thru 5th grade. 6th graders are now a part of our Middle School Ministry.
How can I serve?
During Sunday and Wednesday Services: Children are taught God’s Word from the Bible as well as through stories, games and crafts. Security is in place for all children during Sunday and Wednesday services to ensure that each child is safe and secure from all outside distractions.
Please Note: Membership is required to serve in the Children’s Ministry
If under the age of 18, please see Jennifer Peterson, Children’s Ministry Director, for approval to serve.

Our 2026–2027 AWANA program starts soon, and we are excited to welcome the kids back!
AWANA gives children and students the opportunity to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word, memorize Scripture, build friendships, and learn how biblical truth applies to everyday life.
We offer AWANA from preschool through high school
Cubbies, Sparks, and T&T meet Thursdays at 6 PM.
Trek and Journey meet Sundays at 6 PM.
We are also looking for volunteers for the upcoming season! AWANA is made possible by adults who are willing to invest in our kids—and the more volunteers we have, the more children we are able to welcome into the program.

Other Children's Ministries
Vacation Bible School- June 2027
Vacation Bible School is one of the biggest weeks of the year at Candlelight! Each summer, hundreds of children come together for four days filled with Bible teaching, worship, games, activities, and plenty of fun.
Our goal is simple: to help children know God, understand His Word, and see how the truth of Scripture applies to their lives. Every part of VBS—from large-group teaching to small-group time and activities—is designed to reinforce biblical truth in an engaging, age-appropriate way.
VBS is open to children in our church and throughout the community, and it takes a large team of volunteers to make the week possible. Registration and volunteer information are posted each year as VBS approaches.

AWANA Clubs
AWANA is Candlelight’s midweek discipleship program for children and students, designed to help them know God’s Word, understand what they believe, and grow in their walk with Christ.
Each week includes Bible teaching, Scripture memory, games, and age-appropriate activities in a fun, structured environment. As children grow, the program grows with them—helping build a strong biblical foundation from the preschool years through high school.
AWANA is open to families in our church and community and is led by a dedicated team of volunteers who invest in students week after week.

American Heritage Girls
Changing Girls’ Lives and Leading Them Towards a More Christ-Centered Life
American Heritage Girls (AHG) was founded by a group of parents wanting a faith-based, scout-type character development program for their daughters in 1995. The AHG Program is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. AHG girls across the nation and the globe participate in badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences, all with an emphasis on Christian values and family involvement.

Trail Life
Trail Life is a Christ-centered, high adventure ministry for boys that endeavors to “be the premier national character development organization for young men which produces godly and responsible husbands, fathers and citizens.” This program, for K-12th grade, centers on outdoor experiences that build skills and allow the youth to grow on a personal level and as a role model for his peers. Living the Trail Life is a journey established on timeless values derived from the Bible.
