Vacation Bible School (VBS)

One week of fun every year in the month of June!

VBS gives children a chance to experience God’s Word in many fun and unforgettable ways! Each year Candlelight is transformed into a magical land where they come to understand God’s love for them through the Word, fun and fellowship, and the care shown to them by volunteers. Entire families were changed as many of them came to saving faith in Jesus.

Trail Life Leaders

At Candlelight, we’re raising boys to become Godly young men with grit and resilience—and Trail Life is a vital part of that mission. But to keep this ministry strong, we need leaders who are willing to guide and grow alongside these boys.

Trail Life goes beyond outdoor skills. It offers boys challenges that build resilience and faith, whether they’re crafting a shelter under the stars or sharing stories around a campfire. Through structured, achievable struggles, boys experience a true sense of accomplishment that prepares them to tackle life’s tests with confidence. These experiences shape not only the boys but also the men who guide them, creating deeper, often unspoken bonds, especially for fathers walking alongside their sons.

We’ve seen powerful transformations: father-son relationships healed, marriages strengthened, and young boys becoming leaders who walk in faith. And it all starts with leaders who will guide them with wisdom and encouragement.

If you’re passionate about building up the next generation, or if you’re looking for a place to serve that impacts not just boys but families, consider becoming a Trail Life leader. Click on the sign up to volunteer button below.

Juvenile Justice Outreach

The deteriorating mental and behavioral health of our children is largely caused by a lack of close connections to others, as well as a lack of deep connections to moral and spiritual meaning. We offer to nurture relationships as a core principle for each child’s positive development.

Vision: To be available and accessible to provide encouragement, support, and spiritual guidance to youth, their families, and the communities which serve them through Idaho’s Juvenile Justice System.

Hospitality

Greeting Ministry on Sundays

Greeters are the hearts, eyes, and hands of Candlelight. The purpose of the Greeting Ministry is to extend a personal welcome to as many people as possible who enter the church and answer any questions. A smile can go a long way! Greeters are the first person a member or visitor comes in contact with when attending a worship service at Candlelight. Also, if needed, greeters will assist an unstable walker from the parking lot to the Sanctuary, help others overloaded with packages, and assist anyone in need of a wheelchair.

Women’s Ministry

Women’s Ministries seeks to assist the church in equipping women to meet the spiritual, relational, and short-term emergency needs of women and their families who are part of Candlelight Christian Fellowship.

Leaders in the Women’s Ministries team recognize that it is impossible to meet all the needs of women within the body through this ministry alone, but believe that they are an essential part in effectively assisting the church to minister to areas of need that may be unique to women. They have chosen to target the spiritual needs of women because they believe that if this need is met, relational, social, emotional, and physical needs will be met as well.

Communion Ministry

The Mission of the Communion Ministry is to serve the body of Christ through serving Communion with the joy of the Lord, providing an atmosphere for the congregation to focus on Jesus Christ – the Lamb of God, and His ultimate sacrifice.

Today, many churches, including ours, use crackers and grape juice. The bread symbolizes Christ’s body, which was beaten and broken for us as He died for the sins of humanity. The cup of wine symbolizes His blood, which was shed for us as He paid for our sins.

If you have a heart to help serve, please fill out the volunteer form below and we will get back to you with available shifts. We would love to have you serve with us!

Silver Angels

Silver Angels is focused on putting God’s love into action by giving hope, joy, and fellowship to isolated residents at 2 local rehabilitation centers. We hope you too, will want to help share this love with lonely elderly residents who have given so much to their families, friends and community. Some of the ways we share God’s love are:

  • By being an “Angel Buddy” - be matched with a resident who would love to have you visit at your convenience, to share life stories.

  • By providing a birthday present to a resident who may not receive one otherwise and presenting it to them on their special day.

  • By helping plan ways to celebrate holidays with the residents with other "Angels". We provide cards, gifts, cake, and entertainment for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Veteran’s Day and Christmas.

Our ability to provide lonely and isolated elderly residents with positive, social interactions and experiences is dependent on our volunteers and community of supporters who graciously donate their time, talents, and financial assistance to our cause.

Thank you for your interest and we hope you can join us in bringing more meaningful connections and smiles to lonely seniors.
